A FAMILY LEGACY

Ginny's Apples has fed many throughout the years since 1940. This delectable recipe, a family heirloom passed down from my grandmother, Eloise Mosley Young, to my beloved mother affectionately known as "Ginny," has been a source of joy and fond memories for as long as I can remember.

As a child, I can vividly remember the delight of savoring these "apples" during visits to my grandparents' home. Whether they were served for breakfast or retrieved from the fridge for dinner, a bowl of stewed apples was a constant presence on the family table.

 

As the years passed, my mother took up the tradition, especially during holidays and special family gatherings. Thanksgiving became synonymous with the eagerly anticipated aroma of simmering apples filling the air. My personal favorite was enjoying them with a freshly baked, warm biscuit.

 

From breakfast to snack time, and even as a side for lunch and dinner, these apples have become a beloved part of our daily lives. Whether served hot, cold, or warm, I invite you to experience the same joy and comfort that Ginny's Apples have brought to our family for generations.
